Want More? Find Out on What Makes Galt House Hotel Unique
In the early 1800s, the original Galt House was a residence owned by Dr. W.C. Galt. In 1835, a 60-room hotel was opened as the Galt House Hotel across the street from the residence at the northeast corner of First and Main.

In 1865, the hotel was destroyed by fire; but within weeks, noted architect R. Whitestone began plans for construction a block away from the original site. The new Galt House Hotel opened in 1869 and operated until 1919. It was razed in 1921.

Over half of a century later, in 1972, Galt House Hotel was reestablished by developer Al J. Schneider as part of Louisville's Riverfront Urban Renewal Project. Carpenter by trade, he built the 25 stories high RIVUE Tower, which features beautiful handcrafted woodworking, on the banks of the Ohio River. Galt House Hotel continued to expand with the creation of the SUITE Tower in 1984. Galt House Hotel remains Louisville’s only waterfront hotel.

Galt House Hotel Trivia
Galt House Hotel was green and eco-friendly before it was cool! It contains one of the largest geothermal heating and air conditioning systems in the world.

1:00–4:00 pmThe Older Client and The Real Estate Agent

Instructor: John Dotson

This session will help real estate agents understand how to serve the needs of their older clients. At least 70% of older citizens will spend some time in a Nursing Home. Nursing Homes in our area cost over $100,000 a year, therefore a majority of long term care Nursing Home residents will need Medicaid assistance. Selling a home without knowledge of Medicaid’s pitfalls can preclude the older citizens from receiving Medicaid assistance for years since Medicaid has a 5-year look back period.

This has also led to frustrations for the average real estate professional trying to convert today’s buyer and seller lead that comes from the internet first. Come learn the exact strategies to follow and words to use when dealing with 21st
century consumers so you can start converting more of your leads and operating your business in a way that today’s consumer desires.
